Sports Day was another great success this year. Despite the weather; students, staff, and parents had a wonderful time. We were delighted to be able to make the most of the new sports pitches recently opened next to our school.
Students competed in their houses across a range of sports and activities including; soccer, basketball, relay, dodgeball, and obstacle courses. Perhaps the highlight was the staff versus student dodgeball that took place after lunch. Students relished the opportunity to take revenge on their teachers for misdemeanours such as ‘excessive homework’. Despite a dogged performance by the staff they were overwhelmed by superior numbers losing in both the male and female competitions.
It is fantastic to see our community coming together to take part in what is always an annual highlight of the school calendar. It is always encouraging to see our students competing with both skill and sportsmanship. Victory this time goes to the Hawk House who showed prowess in all competitions and at all age groups.
Thank you to our parents for providing a delicious lunch and particular thanks goes to Mr. Holden, Mr. Kuhle, and Mr. Wilson for organising this years event.
Our next sports day will take place in May next semester. We hope to see many of you there!
